The Corsair TC500 LUXE’s mission is to not only provide us with chairs with a wide range of adjustments for comfortable sitting, but also to provide a look that is almost unique on the market.
This is achieved through an Alcantara-like fabric, which is very easy to clean . The fiber orientation allows for a smooth view, or shades that vary in color depending on the light. It’s also worth mentioning that it attracts quite a bit of lint and hair.
It is available in olive green (or at least that’s how it looks in the photo), black and cream white.

It’s no secret that the 5-point star-shaped base has a design very similar to those used in Secretlab chairs; you just have to look at both the top and bottom.
This is not a criticism at all, because it is one of the best we found in the gaming chair scene, with a very stylized flat upper surface, and a high-resistance lower rib , using a thick steel chassis for this purpose.
At the flat edge ends we find the holes to insert the wheels, which are held in place by a pressure washer.
These wheels are made of nylon with a polyurethane surface , with a 6.5 cm diameter and a multi-spoke design. The structure is standard, with a double individual rolling surface, a vertical and horizontal metal rotation system, but without brakes or locking.

We continue with the Corsair TC500 LUXE piston , which is a typical Class 4 piston , this time with a total travel of 10 cm and capable of supporting 120 kg with full warranty . It comes very well lubricated as standard.
The base-seat support mechanism is the most advanced or complete version, so to speak, of what we see in non-ergonomic gaming chairs.

Starting with the basics, we have a competition bucket-style design , with regard to the enlarged lugs in both the shoulder and lumbar areas, although with a restrained style and a focus on elegance .
The side edges are flat all the way around the backrest , although the finish is not as perfect or even as seen in the renders, in the sense that there are small depressions or more or less rounded turns in the shoulder area above all.
In any case, we can say that the finish and above all, the quality of the materials, is very top-notch, adopting an Alcantara-type fabric, although it is not exactly the same, feeling very soft to the touch and cozy .
At the same time, it’s more breathable than synthetic leather and has a similar sheen, with the ability to create a variable shade of color depending on the lighting. This is combined with a careful diamond stitching design that enhances feel and comfort, not to mention the Corsair logo detailing stitched into the fabric.
Under the fabric we have high-density foam, of which no numerical details are given, and all of this is held by a tubular steel chassis .
The dimensions are designed to fit any body type, especially the width, as we have a height of 80 cm and a width of 55 cm at the lumbar and shoulder areas. In other words, it’s a very large seat .
Inside we have the 4-way lumbar adjustment system , which is basically a metal panel, which is capable of moving inside the chair up-down, forward-backward.
This way, we can adjust the curvature to make our spine and position as comfortable as possible. For movement, we have a rotating knob on each side of the backrest that indicates the movement. It’s a fairly precise system that works very well.
We still have one more extra element: the headrest. Yes, it’s integrated into the seat and doesn’t have any annoying holes. It also includes a memory foam cushion that attaches to the headrest .
Final words and conclusion about the Corsair TC500 LUXE
Corsair raises the bar on quality and manufacturing to give us one of the best chairs in the gaming scene, that is, without going into the ergonomic chairs category.
This is an option that any gamer or streamer will feel comfortable with, especially those with a wide body , as the usable surface area has been greatly increased compared to other more compact options such as SecretLab or Razer.
It competes in the high-end/premium segment, highlighting its design with its uniform, soft, and high-quality velvety surface , while also being breathable thanks to its non-synthetic leather. One of the softest chairs we’ve ever touched.
This is combined with firm, hard foam , ensuring many years of service and support for very heavy users, up to 120 kg with a guarantee . The steel frame and legs are very robust.
In terms of ergonomics, the lumbar height and depth adjustments stand out , putting this chair at a different level than we’re used to. It also delivers on seat mobility , armrest tilt, and armrest adjustability, although we missed the swivel and depth locks .
There are interesting details like the headrest cushion, which remains stable and is memory foam , wide wheels that turn very well, or the 3 beautiful and elegant colors in which the chair is available.
Personally, I feel very comfortable in it—I even have plenty of room to sit in it—with one of the best-fitting backrests , and it’s high enough to allow my legs to dangle at full height. This makes it not the most suitable chair for people under 1.50 m tall , as it’s probably too big for them.
The Corsair TC500 LUXE is available in Europe for €550 , available from the official store and other marketplaces. The price is reasonable for what it offers: cheaper than the Razer Iskur and similar to Secretlab’s Titan Evo.
